J. L. McAuliffe was born in Vermont and has led many lives. He was a full-time punk rock musician in his twenties, has worked as an artist for almost two decades, received a Masters degree in Fine Arts from The Vermont College of Fine Art without ever attending an undergraduate school, and once won a beauty pageant... He now lives in New York with his wife, a bulldog named Private BOOM BOOM Von Chubberton, a bunch of cats–Tully, Good the Momma, Trouble and Tantrum, and a cantankerous ground hog named Hoot.
